Ferryboat sailing to the horizon on a Dutch Waddensea with ice at sunset.
It was the last light of a very cold winter's day and we were waiting for the ferry to pick us up from the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog to bring us to the main land. You can see the ferry on the left trying to get through the ice.
Ice on sea is a rarity in the Netherlands but the Waddensea is undeep and doesn't have a lot of waves so it does happen sometimes.
