Description
Portland Head Lighthouse is found in Cape Elizabeth Maine and is one of the oldest and most photographed Lighthouses in America.
This image was taken at 6 am in November 2019 which was a record breaking low temperature for Cape Elizabeth Maine. Fortunately the wind was almost non existent that day so wind chill was not a factor. It was at least 35 minutes later before I saw another soul.
The Lighthouse and its grounds are a state park and draw many people on a daily basis. By noon there were at least 75-100 people on the grounds. In peak season the parking lots hold enough cars for 300 or more visitors at a time.
I have many other images of Portland Head in a Lighthouse gallery and at least one in a discount gallery due to the fact that this is such a widely photographed location. Please check them out and thanks for looking!
