"SUMMER WIND"
This was one of those spur of the moment photos that sometimes happen after a late afternoon storm. I looked out my window and saw the potential for a brilliant sunset. Chasing sunsets after a rainy day or a thunderstorm can have one of two outcomes. Most of the time as luck would have it if you take the time to venture out of the house...nothing happens. If you stay home you're treated to a brilliant and colorful sunset that just mocks you. This evening was one of the luckier times as I was rewarded with splashes of fiery color that illuminated the sky a few minutes after sunset. This was taken a few weeks after "Summer Sunset" in about the same location. Great as a companion piece although this one is available in larger sizes since it was taken with a full frame camera.
Capturing scenes like this make all the trial and error worth it. If you nailed it every single time than photography (at least for me) wouldn't be as exciting. The thrill of the unknown, the excitement of seeing something amazing take shape in front of you, the adrenaline that flows through as you hope you get it right and don't run out of time as you set up your equipment. Yeah. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
