Description
After I spent quite a long time out in this hot field of wildflowers taking pictures from every angle and vantage point, I was cautioned by another photographer about the copperheads that reside in the area. Needless to say, had I known this, there would be no pictures from out in the field! Apparently this has been a horrible year for timber rattlers and copperheads in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and I had given no thought to the danger that was lurking around me. From now on, my flower shots will most likely be taken from the road unless it's in the wintertime.
