Description
I consider it a challenge to attempt rendering the complexity, symmetry, and beauty in the forms of flowers. The Gladiola is one of my favorite flowers. I grow them in my garden every year. I noticed that I had one last gladiola blooming and decided that this was my last chance to draw one from life this year (2015). I made one start with colored pencil on paper then decided to complete a final version on toned pastel board and I like the result.
