Next door to the 1880's frame/stucco depot in The Plains, Virginia, a new, more elaborate station was built in 1915. In this image, the newer structure, finished in brick, with arch-top chimneys, diamond pane windows and terra cotta tile roof, is rendered with a subtle "art effect" finish, with a gently textured canvas finish.
