"It began with black and a desire to use a sponge to test out some new gold paint I picked up. Incidentally, before I got to the gold part, the canvas demanded stars. The stars demanded gravity, and a galaxy, and so I painted it with a pause to sling-test my new iridescent blue- which got mixed into the galaxy as some of it hadn't dried when the galaxy requested a reminder that all things are possible because of Stars. The Bird of Paradise excites my heart and was the only option for the first in this Starstuff series which will continue to frame the beauty Earth offers." -M.E.
