Description
Watercolor painting of a cat.
With a minimum amount of handmade watercolor pigment, and a larger amount of water, I painted this impressionism cat.
Impressionism is not my style of watercolor painting. I am more of a realistic painter; however, this sweet cat didn't need all the vivid, bold, colors I usually use. It didn't need all of the hard edges and precise brush strokes. Nope, this cat needed a soft touch and little paint.
I purchased a tin of handmade watercolor paints that the maker called, "Furry Tales". She uses these colors in her pet paintings; therefore, I wanted to give a "furry" a try. The colors worked out quite well for the impressionistic style.
