Description
I walked abroad in a snowy day;
I asked the soft snow with me to play;
She played and she melted in all her prime,
And the winter called it a dreadful crime. - William Blake
This was taken along the Merced River in Yosemite National Park. A gentle snowfall covered every branch and twig. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.

It almost looks like an infrared shot at first glance and then I saw the snow. Beautiful framing and lighting.
