Soaring In The Heavens - Harpers Ferry WVA. Welcoming in the new year this day, January 1, 2015, my husband and I spent the afternoon in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. A beautiful winter day, not overbearingly cold. Yes, needed gloves and a winter coat, but it was beautiful and very sunny.

I was actually photographing the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, and my husband was looking up at a plane in the blue sky leaving a mark, called contrails, behind. He was fascinated by the site and said to me, "take a picture." Not sure I was going to be able to capture it well, I looked up, zoomed in, focused, and click click. I took a few different shots. My hubby was thrilled at the results. A special image for him to remember this day together bringing in the new year.

In this scene, the middle jet, is the original photo, and I added the two planes on each side to give it some more depth and excitement. It was a fun site to watch, as this jet was flying by fast. It was as if we were looking up into the heavens, watching the beauty of nature. My husband and I enjoyed the moment together.
