This was my introduction to Iceland. Here…put on these crampons (What are crampons? And how do you put them on?). There’s a lot of people here so just stand in this freezing cold river to take your photos (Are you nuts?). A day or so hence I could have handled it better. But at Skogofoss Waterfall I was lucky to get any photos at all with all the adjustment to cold and winter clothing and equipment! The beautiful sunny but cold day created a nice rainbow at the falls making up for the rest of the discombobulation. Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of more than 60 meters and a width of 25 meters. You can walk right up to it but be prepared to be drenched and surrounded with its thundering roar.
