Description
The ca. 1900 DeLoach sawmill donated by the Tessman family is an example of small sawmills that were once common around the country. It operates during Farm Fest and Harvest Fest. It is more than just a demonstration mill as it is used to produce boards and beams for use in construction at the Heritage center.
According to a 1910 DeLoach catalog, the mill was capabile of cutting between 2,000 and 15,000 board feet per day depending on the size of the engine.
The HDR processing created the illusion of movement.
