Beautiful Tall Ships

This series was created with the intent of an emotive atmosphere rather than a purist photographic atmosphere. I very much enjoy creating moody, mysterious or atmospheric artwork.

Occasionally I will add a touch of grunge hand-made texture for added mystery and interest, but overall it is the feeling I want to convey; the feeling of tall ships afloat on the vast oceans of our world and the conditions they may encounter by way of weather or other out of the norm occurrences.

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheels kick and the winds song and the white sails shaking,
And a grey mist on the seas face, and a grey dawn breaking,

I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gulls way and the whales way where the winds like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long tricks over.
