Photographic artwork by Cindy Treger. Photographed near Lake Meade, East Berlin, PA. Normally when a ruby-throated hummingbird, Archilochus colubris, is perched, you only see a small area of white feathers beneath his ruby-red gorget. This little guy has his neck really stretched out looking at something.
I authored and included many of my hummingbird photos in a book titled "Ruby-throated Hummingbird Facts and Photos." It has many hummingbird facts that are sure to fascinate you. It is available through Amazon.
