Description
Strong winds drive powerful wafes against the rocks of the jetty at Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. As these walls of water smash into the rocks plumes of saltwater spray into the air. The wave action makes for a dramic photo opportunity.
On a calmer day the rocks would be lined with surf fishermen hoping to catch a nice flounder or other oceanic fish. While a few sportsmen were present on the beach this morning, none were braving the wet slippery rocks and the onslaught of angry surf crashing in.
