Description
The panoramic view across the rooftops of the historic Alfama area of Lisbon from the Miradouro das Portas do Sol is picture postcard perfect. Multi coloured pastel buildings topped with vibrant red rooftops jostle for space as far as the eye can see. The mannerist style Monastery of Sao Vicente de Fora sits atop the hill, a jewel in the crown of this most dazzling district. As the sun disappears behind the buildings, a warm red glow is cast, giving the entire scene an ethereal quality. I added a little texture to complete the image.
