Description
The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto Canada. The ROM Crystal first opened in 2007. It is composed of five interlocking, self supporting structures that are not attached to the original ROM heritage building but wrap around and over it. Approximately 3500 tons of steel and 38 tons of bolts were used to create the skeleton and roughly 9,000 cubic metres of concrete were poured as support.
Original photography from 2014 using a Canon EOS 60D body with a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 DC Macro OS lens. Reprocessed using Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the Black and White conversion.
