Description
The Battle of Iwo Jima (19 February – 26 March 1945) was a major battle in which the United States Marine Corps landed on and eventually captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) during World War II. This Iwo Jima Monument is located in south Texas. This event took place after D Day.
On June 6, 1944, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in northern France and their goal was to liberate Western Europe from Nazi tyranny.
This image was created to honor and remember those brave soldiers who fought for our country.
Using some digital effects, I was able to give the photo a look and feel from earlier times.
