The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 is/was a turning point in many people’s lives, causing many to marvel at how carefree many aspects of life had been before, and also wonder what may have changed forever. On the day that this photo was posted onto Fine Art America, it had been almost exactly a year since we sat on the patio of our B&B in Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre region of Italy looking out at the Mediterranean at the start of a new day. It was also almost exactly the day when we were supposed to be back in that same location in 2020 enjoying the same view and looking forward to nothing more pressing than a beautiful hike and some Italian gelato. But we are all currently staying at home trying to stay healthy and wondering what life will be like as we move through 2020 and beyond.
