Description
Oxford University's most iconic building built in the English Palladian style is captured in this digital photograph. Dominating the small cobbled square where it is located, this large, circular building was designed by James Gibbs and built 1737-1749. Forming part of the Bodleian Library complex, this building houses mainly English, History and Theology books. This unusual building is frequently a popular stop for tour groups, however since it is a working library, only students and scholars are allowed admittance to the inside.
