Title
Portrait Of Dali The Persistence Of Memory
Artist
Jerome Stumphauzer
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
This is my reinterpretation of Salvador Dali's most famous painting, "The Persistence of Memory" (1933). I replaced the "limp watch" on the tree branch with a sagging face of a young Dali.
The other watch has been replaced, obviously, with a limp pepperoni pizza!
Getting his face right was a challenge, but a fun painting to do. I hope Dali would have enjoyed it and hope you do too!
The original 8 x 10 oil painting is available for purchase. Also, see my painting: "My Miro." Prints on canvas, metal or paper would fit many home decors and would make a great gift!

I am very proud of this painting. It worked the way I had planned it, and that is quite an achievement for a self-taught artist! Jerome

Excellent work Jerome. I like the modern take on classic Modernist artwork - especially surrealism. On here I go by the name "The Digital Modernist" because I am trying to encourage interest in Modernist Art and to inspire people in a modern digital era to become inspired by the style of the late 1800s and early 1900s. This is a perfect example of what I am trying to promote. You have done such a wonderful job here. I am very impressed to say the least.....Peter
