Description

The Punta Gorda, Florida, Chamber of Commerce is housed in a historic old home built in the 1800s and relocated to its current location near Charlotte Harbor. Many of the rooms are decorated with antiques from that period, such as this parlor. The old wicker chair with matching small table is inviting. One can imagine a hostess inviting a guest into the sunny parlor for tea and cakes or cookies. In this version, I applied vignette to enhance the antique look and have done some other digital painting.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. The intricate birdcage adds an upscale appearance to the room as though this was a higher class family inviting you to their home for tea.
