This is a masterful photo with exquisite subdued colors, beautiful diffused light, perfectly balanced composition. You captured the desolation of this austere place perfectly. And , as so many visitors rightly noted, it takes a wonderful and talented artist to create it . :-)

Though winter has passed, this incredible photo made me stop to look. It really was "the one!" I love everything about it! The composition and tones really add to the feel of that wintery day .... and the turn of the head of the horse (or is it a mule) makes me wonder what she is looking at! Great moment captured beautifully. LF ♫¢¾

Don't really know why, but I truly love this one, Sandi...If I had any room on any walls in my house, I might have to buy this! Unfortunately, my family is full of artists! ;)

Perth, WA - Australia
This is a masterful photo with exquisite subdued colors, beautiful diffused light, perfectly balanced composition. You captured the desolation of this austere place perfectly. One can almost feel sorry for this isolated horse being all alone? Is he looking out in vain for a companion ?
Sandi Mikuse replied:
Oh Hartmut! It is always an honor to have you visit! Thank you so much for your thoughtful, gracious words. To make you feel better, he did have some companions in the field with him, so he was not alone! :))))))
Walnut Creek, CA - United States
Lovely scene, looks like the horse just noticed his hay had been put out "L"
Sandi Mikuse replied:
LOL! It DOES doesn't it?!! He's like, hey, is that my hay???! You make me laugh, Donna, and that is a good thing! :))
Everett, WA - United States
I was jest wondering Sandi is this another one of those properties your whacky real estate agent is trying to talk you into? I don't know who referred you to this agent but if I was you Sandi I might look at what kind of cracker box he talked them into before using their agent. And if they told you that the best way to find a good real estate agent was to look into a Crackerjack box, Sandi I would not listen to them no more. Because they probably do not know what their are talking about. Is the four wheeler in the foreground part of the deal Sandi because that place is not much to speak of ?
Sandi Mikuse replied:
:) LOL! Yes, I do believe the "four wheeler" is part of the deal! You are right, the place itself leaves alot to be desired! However, it truly has a great country feel to it! :))
