'Pink Tree Blossom Opening', a fine art nature photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I enjoyed taking a series of shots of the blooms on this small cherry / crabapple tree, and sought different effects for each image. With this piece, I was drawn to the simplicity, the contrast between in-focus flower in the foreground and bokeh in the background, and the composition. I also thought the colors really popped and in this flower in particular, I liked the varying colors in the stamens. This composition is more minimalist in style - perfect for a more artistic flair to an otherwise more common flower photograph.
