Description
Pemaquid Point Light is located in Pemaquid Lighthouse Park, Bristol, ME.
Commissioned by John Quincy Adams in 1827, this Maine lighthouse has the Fisherman’s Museum on the first floor in the Keepers House, and there is the possibility of renting the apartment on the second floor. The Permaquid Point Lighthouse Park is located at the entrance to Muscongus Bay and Johns Bay, in the town of Bristol. The Town of Bristol purchased the park property from the Coast Guard in 1940 with the exception of the light tower. Permaquid Point Lighthouse Park is managed by the Bristol Parks Commission.

What a fabulous lighthouse photograph. Adding the texture of the rocks was brilliant!

Really interesting rock formation in the foreground! They’ve certainly preserved the lighthouse beautifully

Amazing perspective. The rocks make it look like quite the daunting hike
Allen Beatty replied:
Thank you Colleen. Actually, there was a grassy area that went right up to the side of the rocks where you can step onto the rocks and then go down as far as you want.
