Description
My peaceful and colorful painting of a beautiful flower meadow of peonies is hand painted in acrylic and pastel on canvas.(The FAA mark will not show up on your purchase!) There are many more of my tranquil landscape paintings for sale as prints and cards in my Fine Art America Jane Small shop. All are designed to promote a feeling of happiness, tranquility and wonder. There is also a collection of paintings in watercolor and in the exquisite medium of melted beeswax. I have spent many years developing my own methods and style in each of these mediums.
I am so grateful to the wonderful photographer Nick Boren for the privilege of being able to interpret and paint this work from his beautiful selection of breathtaking photos here on FAA. Thank you so much Nick !

I don't know how I managed to miss this one Jane. You somehow always seem to develop the perfect balance and interaction between the various elements so that they accent one another. The clouds in the sky with their touches of green, the distant trees expanding the palette with blue, green and yellow and then the foreground with all of the previous colors in their myriad variation with the still life features in pink, red and violet. Magical and masterful are words heard perhaps too often but they certainly apply here. LF!
