Description
I happen to photograph an older Volkswagen Beetle as the vehicle passed in from of a very large American Flag flying above a small common where two roads come together -- It struck me that we are truly a melting pot of cultures in the United States and thought it would make an interesting painting. This piece was done wet-on-dry for a watercolor class that I taught. It was a done to show how little you need (in the form of brush strokes) to be convincing and show a wide variety of textures.
