Description
Calfosch, Colfosco is a mountain village in South Tyrol, northern Italy. It is the highest village with permanent residents in the Val Badia at 5,400 ft, and a frazione of the district of Corvara, province of Bolzano. The views are outstanding. Skiing and the hospitality industry including bike racing employ a good many people in the area.
Corvara in Badia borders the following municipalities: Badia, Canazei, Livinallongo del Co,l di Lana, San Martin de Tor, and Sëlva.
The Sassongher mountain overlooks the village.
The finish of the annual single-day seven mountain passes crossing Maratona Odles Dolomites bicycle race is in Corvara.
In late June you see dandelions the first harbingers of what is normally a spring flower, Warm weather here is short, but sweet. Just soak in the views!
