Under the weather for two days I grabbed my camera every so often, the last before we headed to bed and took some pictures from our apartment we were staying. We landed in the cute town of Sexten/Sesto for 4 nights the end of June. The views are outstanding in the Dolomites and nothing pleased me more than viewing the needle shaped mountains so emblematic of this area. There wasn't much of a sunset that evening, but what was there were clouds...lots of clouds brought to life in my camera. How could I not feel better after looking at this view. The background mountains are the very famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
We decided to stay here because some of the most important peaks of the Dolomites can be seen from this location and there were services like a grocery and gas station here.
This area and others will be the sites for the 2026 Cortina and Milan games.
