Description
Ole Yeller Locomotive Coos Bay Oregon Painting by Barbara Snyder
This is a digital rending of an original photograph. The original photo is also for sale here in our gallery under the same title.
Ole Yeller #099 was built in 1928 by Plymouth Locomotive. Has a 150 H.P. Caterpillar engine. Saw government service at the Panama Canal. Later used during Bonneville Dam construction. Harvey Aluminum purchased it from the Treasury Department in 1958. It was used as a switch engine at The Dalles plant until 1979. Donated to the Chamber of Commerce (Coos Bay Oregon) in 1990 by Northwest Aluminum.
Sitting behind Ole Yeller in this picture is Coos Bay Lumber Company's Engine Number 104. We have three different pictures of Number 104 also for sale in our gallery.
Enjoy!
