Description
Do you know a special person, whose mere presence brings you comfort and peace? I don't really know the extent to which animals form those kinds of bonds with each other; but that's the vibe I picked up as I stood watching these two for several minutes. I got the feeling that they probably spent quite a bit of time like this.... just being together, keeping each other company. How much of this is my imaginings, I don't know, but it was a lovely moment to observe.
I finished this version of this image with a black and white artistic effect that I thought complemented the quiet, calm mood of the scene, and also highlights the wonderful textures of the animals' coats and the Spanish moss in the old live oaks.
