Description
This photo is a tribute to a photographer that I believe is second to none when it comes to photographing everyday, so-called mundane objects, causing us to take notice of them and see them in a whole new light. I love this one, Sandi....so simple, so elegant.....how long has this piece of metal withstood time and the elements to do a simple job...Time has made the wood and metal even more beautiful.....I hope I can think that when looking in the mirror....treasure the hands of time!.....vf
Sandi Mikuse replied:
Oh so true, Karen. Many people work overtime trying to erase the signs of time in their faces. Personally I think we have earned every line and wrinkle and they are testaments to our ability to survive. Thank you for such a thoughtful comment!

Is it not odd, Sandi, how much can be said - or imaginate - in a seemingly simple object? Your superbly colored and balanced composition is proof of that. I can almost hear the creaking of the old door opening when an old crusty farmer opens the door look for his lost wife... :-)
Sandi Mikuse replied:
Hartmut! SO wonderful to see you here! Thank you my dear friend for your kind and thought-ful remarks! :)))
