I think this is a fitting tribute to the artwork of Duran Duran's Medazzaland album. Although not a single element of their original work was used, I think the mood of this fractal render mirrors the mood of the album cover art. However, I didn't think 'tribute' was the right word; so, I used 'ode' instead.
