NYC Holiday Star Decorations in Blues by Regina Geoghan. A vertical format view of the Holiday Star display inside the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle in New York City. Outside in late afternoon, the buildings are shadowed in blue light of the coming darkness with and a few hints of the warm sun colors as it moves toward the horizon partially obscured by clouds. A close look shows the details of the statue of Christopher Columbus and the details of the circle. The Holiday Under the Stars display features specialty crafted illuminated color mixing with twelve 14-foot stars that hang from the ceiling of the 150-foot Great Room. The stars are continually transforming in color from tones of a single color to multi-color. In this view, the are in hues of blue. I love how the star colors mimic the late afternoon colors of the city outside of the building.
