The American tragedy of September 11th, better known as 911, made everyone worldwide think deeply about what it means to share our world. What it means to experience terror at its core. So many people died, people of every race and creed. It made me remember the words that our founding fathers set as the mission statement for this new nation - E Pluribus Unum - Out of Many - One.

Casualties of the September 11 attacks. 2,996 people were killed and more than 6,000 others were wounded during the September 11 attacks. These immediate deaths included 265 on the four planes, 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon.
