Nearing a Friend
There are several wild herds in the area, and looking at domestic horses in the area, it is clear that many of these were adopted from the Bureau of Land Management. This horse had a companion (image: Domesticated) and a lovely location despite the lack of freedom, and luckily it found a home, unlike many of the wild horses that are taken off public lands and that fall into the hands of a "broker" who sells it across the border for meat.
