The beautiful Nasturtium flowers in my Mother’s garden have pretty tones of colors and this one is a pastel pink tone. After a recent small rain shower, there were tiny rain drops on the petals and this view shows the detail of the center of the flower.
Nasturtium flowers (Tropaeolum) are actually used for medicinal purposes as it is considered an herb flower. They are used to make teas and for use in soothing sore throats. They contain antioxidants and vitamins as well and can help the immune system. They are native to South America. There are a variety of colors and forms of these pretty and useful flowers.
