Description
A pinto colored mustang with a black mane and tail splashes through a shallow river in a deep canyon somewhere in the wilderness of the American west. The horse enjoys the cool water as a wind whips through the rocky gap.

I made this using digital CGI and painting techniques. The landscape was created using an application called Vue, while the horse was an off-the-shelf model posed using another application called Poser then imported into the scene in Vue. Vue was used for the rendering of the scene. I then used GIMP (an open source image editor) to fix errors, paint in details, and adjust colors.
