Title
Monoliths Warm-toned Monochrome
Artist
Brenton Cooper
Medium
Photograph - Framed Prints
Description
An eye-level view of two separate and distinct sandstone monoliths, the closest is "The Organ" and the distant one called "Courthouse Towers" at Arches National Park, Utah! Toning a monochrome image gives it a subtle tinge of color that changes the feel of an image and gives the photographer another opportunity to present their images in a different way. A sepia tone could be introduced to give an image a period feel, while very subtle warm or cold tones can completely change the atmosphere of a picture. Here it is warmer and a more intimate feel!

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
