A true inspiration to so many.

It is the last week of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC. Today was a perfect day to enjoy the beauty of the blossoms and visit the monuments along the tidal basin.

This view I never captured before. The powerful leader Martin Luther King Jr. with the Washington monument to the right. What a powerful scene, two iconic structures. Visiting this monument is always thought-provoking, especially with the race challenges we still face in today's society.

The cherry blossom season here not only represents our friendship with Japan, it sparks the beginning of Spring. Oh boy, are we ready for the nice spring weather. What I love about the Cherry Blossom season is that people come from all over the country and the world. Everyone is so friendly and many seem very relaxed. We are coming together for something good. The environment is breathtaking and people are enjoying not only the blossoms but their time with friends and family. A great time of year to visit our nation's capitol and all it has to offer.
