Description
Taken at Glacier Point during Perseus meteor shower. The moon over did it. Perseus will rise in the northeast horizon at about 11 p.m., and the meteor shower will begin to intensify in the constellation’s vicinity. The Moon—whose glow dims other celestial objects—will set a little after midnight August 12, so your best opportunities to watch the Perseids are in the wee hours of the morning. Glacier Point is a viewpoint above Yosemite Valley, in California, United States. It is located on the south wall of Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 7,214 feet, 3,200 feet above Half Dome Village.
