Description
Mittelalterlicher Marktplatz or the Medieval market square in the town of Bernkastle, Germany. This is one of the many view of the Medieval Market Square. We stopped at this city on a cruise on the Mosel River where I was able to capture this photograph. This was one of the many wonderful German towns along the Mosel and Rhine river that we stopped at. Bernkastel is one of the many post card towns along the Mosel that you picture of an old German village with those lovely timber framed houses. There were many unique shops to look at and pass the time, especially wonder Christmas stores that were open all year for the many tourists that visited. There were many places there to sample some of the famous German wines.
NOTE: The buildings are really tilted.

A terrific shot! I love this style of architecture, though I have never been inside one of these houses. Perhaps they are not very comfortable to live in. I have had mixed experiences with such old buildings in the past.
