In late summer, yellow wildflowers seem to be in bloom everywhere across the Blue Ridge landscape in Virginia (USA). Oxeye daisies, like this one, are one of the highlights, with their beautiful form and rich, deep color. I captured this image in a natural area on Blue Mountain in Linden, Virginia. I thought the field of flowers shining softly in the background made a beautiful counterpoint to the lovely blossom that's the focal point for the image.
