Male Eastern Bluebird

The Eastern bluebird was once almost eliminated in the Carolina's due to the lack of nesting cavities. Birder stated putting up bird boxes, allowing for a remarkable comeback of the Eastern Bluebird.

The Eastern Bluebird is easy trained to come to clay dishes filled with meal-worms.

The shot was captured at the Beaver Dam Lake Bird Sanctuary in Asheville, North Carolina.
