Description
Here in Hawai'i I would guess the majority of people who live here await with great anticipation lychee season. This unusual, delicious fruit is originally from Southeast Asia, primarily China. Lychee was brought to Hawai'i in the 1870s and is an important cash crop, grown in areas on the Islands that have high rainfall. We enjoy it fresh off the tree and use it to make heavenly desserts as well as drinks such as Lychee martinis.
