These guys hang out at the Palmetum in Townsville. There's a colony of them that hang out in a couple of Rain tree's there. As you can see they do like to cuddle up close to each other in comparison to the Black Flying Foxes in the trees next door, who prefer a little more personal space.
The Parks people have had to cordon off the area they've moved into due to the hygiene issues these little guys present. They've been here a few years now and though these little Red guys move out every now and then, their Black Flying Fox friends are there permanently.
