I am always intrigued by the textures, and design features of antique and aging items. In this macro view of a steamer trunk clasp, you can see an abundance of textures, interesting lines and pleasing colors from corroding metals and what remains of a leather strap.The trunk is in the Elgin History Museum collection. This image is included in the Art in Artifacts exhibit.
