Description
Smack dab in the middle of Nebraska (well closer to 75 miles south of the middle), but on the north side of Interstate 80 (which is about a mile south of US Highway 30, which runs through the middle of town), you'll find the city of Lexington. It began as a frontier trading post in 1860 and was a stop along the Pony Express. Today, a significant portion of the slightly more than 10,000 people living there work at the cities largest employer, a beef packing plant.

Wonderful image. Love the texture and weathered look.
Mike Braun replied:
Sharon, thank you for your kind words about my Lexington Nebraska image. It was a yearning I had to go back to the town I was born in but left at the age of two. This was the most iconic spot I could find that harkened back to my birth as I drove around the small town.
Mike Braun replied:
Sharon, I just visited your site. My but you are prolific. I'm going to have to set aside and hour to see it all. Wonderful.
