I don't know if you are aware or not, but I have terminal brain cancer and both my kidneys have now failed and I'm on chemo three times a week and dialysis four. A year ago I found myself homeless living under a bridge while dying from this horrible disease. This win meant everything to me, because I took up art as a way of dealing with the pain of cancer and as physio theraphy after my brain surgery last March. I've wanted to make a professional portfolio of my work to show at gallieries and to potential buyers but couldn't afford to. This allows me to. I mentioned to one nurse about this contest who said she was going to vote and BOOM the votes exploded. I'm sorry if you felt pushed out of first place. I didn't mean to. I would have been happy with second or third or just placement in the top ten. So congratulations from the bottom of my heart. You deserve it too!
