Lac aux Americains ( lake of the Americans) is actually situated in Parc National de la Gaspesie, Quebec, Canada. It was named after the American botanists that set up their base camp on its shores in the early 1900s. Lac aux Americains is a beautiful glacial lake that can be reached by a 2.9 km hiking trail. You will be rewarded by this gorgeous panorama and clear water to cool off in. The reflections of the Chic-Chocs Mountains in the calm water adds to the serenity and beauty of this landmark in la Gaspesie.
